  • Form foundations of lifelong faith through Gospel values and sincere, meaningful prayer.
  • Guide Pupils to determine their own personal moral values, and a respect and understanding of other races, religions and ways of life.
  • Develop future citizens who cherish the world in which they live and their responsibilities within it.
  • A Christ Centred curriculum which has a breadth of experience and equality of opportunity for all.

A very warm welcome to you all! Thank you for visiting our website. I hope that you will gain an insight into the life of Sol Christian Academy by looking at the information we have shared with you.

At Sol Christian Academy, we aim to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children are encouraged to strive to do their best in all aspects of their development. As a school family, we believe that courtesy, respect and concern for others are as important as high standards of achievement in academic work. To this end, we are determined to meet the needs of every child, celebrating the uniqueness of each child. As a school, we work hard to create a lively, engaging and purposeful learning environment in which children will develop a love of learning.

As a church school, we believe that the Christian faith underpins all that we do in school and permeates all aspects of school This is clearly summarised in our motto, developed by the children, which states  ‘Character-Academics -Leadership’.  We actively encourage parents to become involved in their children’s education. We firmly believe that home and school need to work in partnership for the benefit of the children. Working together as a school family, we can ensure that children are both happy and successful at school.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have anything to discuss, if you are considering registering your child for a place at Sol Christian Academy, if you would like to arrange a visit to look around the school, or you would like any paper copies of the documents within the website.

  • To respect each person as God’s unique creation.
  • To train and equip character and gifting in students, develop their responsibility, and encourage them towards their calling in life.
  • To view work as God-given and good. We work to please God and our employers.
  • To encourage students to think Biblically and responsibly about world issues.
  • To teach students that life is about knowing God and walking in His ways.
  • To impart the skills of independent study and logological thought.
  • To encourage a desire to contribute to others within society, an awareness of the needs of those around and sensitivity to the call of God to find a place of service

Our Mission

SOL Christian Academy has the following values, which underpin all that we do:

  • Commitment to excellence in all aspects of school life. We aim to do the best we can, and we encourage children to give of their best in everything they do.
  • The importance of each child developing spiritually, physically, intellectually, creatively, socially, behaviourally and emotionally.
  • We aim to be interested in everything about the children in our care, as God is interested.
  • Clear and consistent discipline. We work to maintain fair discipline throughout the Academy with a clear code of conduct that all staff and parents uphold.
  • Clear and consistent discipline. Respect for authority and honour for all. We teach the pupils to respect authority as given by God to parents, teachers and others in the Academy and Church communities. A Biblical world view in all areas of school life. We aim to develop a Biblical approach in all aspects of the curriculum, administration and pastoral care.

Our Vision

Our mission is the development of students prepared academically and spiritually to serve Jesus Christ and to impact the world through their character and leadership.

Rooted in Christ: We believe that it is our mission to develop students both academically and spiritually so that when they depart from Sol Christian Academy, they are firmly rooted in Christ. We, therefore, provide every student with an education that overflows with Biblical truth in every subject; surrounding them with examples of servant-leaders, and encouraging them to utilize their minds and actions to develop a worldview that is founded in faith.

Ready for Tomorrow: We believe that it is our goal to instill in each student the passion to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through their character and leadership. Sol Christian Academy endeavors to prepare students to become Christ-like leaders in their schools, churches, communities, families, and vocations.

A.C.E Curriculum

Accelerated Christian Education was founded in 1970 by Donald and Esther Howard in Garland, Texas. The ministry began solely upon God’s leading to meet the need for an individualized, Biblically-based education for children. They desired to assist parents, pastors, and school staff in the Lord’s command of Deuteronomy 6:7; And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk to them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard started the first Learning Center in their home, but in just one year had five schools joining their staff training! By 1974, more than 500 schools across the U.S. had implemented the program. A.C.E. has taken a conventionally styled textbook and divided it into bite-sized workbooks called PACEs (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education) which are full of self-instructional activities designed to develop thinking skills and create mastery learning.

A.C.E. has been adding programs for students to participate in activities outside of the classroom since 1973. Regional and International Student Conventions help students grow closer to the Lord Jesus Christ and demonstrate their achievements in a wide range of categories from chess to Bible, basketball to art. Service Adventures and Educational Assistance Programs in foreign countries allow students to step outside their comfort zones, share Christ’s love with schools in need, and be involved in reaching children.

The first international school using the A.C.E. curriculum opened in 1974 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. However, throughout the years, separate warehouses opened in Australia, the Philippines, Russia, the United Kingdom, and Africa. Today A.C.E. serves more than 6,000 schools and countless homeschool families around the globe.

We use the mastery-based Individualised Learning Programme provided by Accelerated Christian Education (ACE). It forms the basis of our curriculum which is grounded on Biblical principles and the development of Christian character and values. It is used worldwide by thousands of schools and covers the main academic areas of English, Maths, Science, and Social Sciences (History and Geography), with a wide range of elective subjects.

All studies are predicated on an understanding that God is the originator of all things, and the Bible is the benchmark for life. Students work at the level best suited to their ability and progress at the rate that best meets their needs.

The ACE program approaches subjects with a carefully constructed and consistent method of study; variety is provided by the wide range of subjects available, and by the supplementary afternoon programme.
